A Court Martial is the military equivalent of a Crown Court trial and deals with serious criminal or disciplinary offences committed by service personnel. It is presided over by a Judge Advocate, with a panel (similar to a jury) deciding on the facts of the case.
If you are facing a Court Martial, you have the right to independent legal representation and to be defended by a solicitor or barrister experienced in military law. Legal Aid is available for Court Martial proceedings, meaning you will not have to fund your own defence in most cases.
At E&L Legal, we combine our military and legal expertise to prepare the strongest possible defence, guiding you through every stage of the process.
